New College Film-maker Documentary Screening, February 19
UA Phenomenal Women is a powerful documentary that captures the experiences of women of color at the University of Alabama. Directed and produced by University of Alabama student Camille Corbett for her New College senior project, this film brings to light current issues of race and gender on our campus. Sonic Frontiers Concert Series presents Wadada Leo Smith
On Sunday, October 15, 2017, Wadada Leo Smith will be performing with an 8-piece ensemble + live video productions as part of the Sonic Frontiers Concert Series. A native of Mississippi, Smith, a trumpeter and composer, will perform his critically acclaimed Ten Freedom Summers. The concert will be at 7:30 in the Moody Concert Hall. It is free to the public.
